Coding one myself is an extremely daunting task I don't want to do... development would be too slow to keep anywhere near the trunk.

I’d love to see Cannonball released under and open-source license.

I’m at the very fledgling stage of getting a publishing system off the ground. The sight looks great, and its always awesome hearing about the backstory. We recently took a decision to move our web application to Python/Django (from PHP/Symfony), and are busy finishing up the dev before the launch next month. It's been a great experience, and our entire development team is in love with Django/Python, so it seems to have lived up to the hype.Would love to stay in touch and see where things progress with the Spokesman!

Well done! There are a few pieces of our system, though -- for instance, a sweet app that handles photo resizing -- that came from the source code that we purchased. So that would keep us from being able to open source.

Well, I’m happy to share anything I can with fellow developers.
