Developed by Justin Tadlock, creator of the Hybrid Theme, this is a plugin that's like to come in handy for most news orgs, especially those that do serial reporting or related features. It's a full-featured package that contains widgets and the like and should be fairly easy to use.

It makes use of WordPress' custom taxonomy framework which itself can be used to extend basic tagging to highly specific (almost semantic) tags. Anyone interested in learning more about how to leverage custom taxonomies for their sites?
