Transitions
The first component of Managed Hosting is our transition service, a comprehensive approach to get you up and running with a new WordPress-powered site. We’ll take your old database in nearly any format and transfer the articles, images, media and e-mail subscriber list into a brand new site. Our philosophy is to increase your capacity to innovate on the Web, so we’ll be there to answer any questions you have during the redesign process.
Full transitions include:
- WordPress install with a professional theme from WooThemes and a suite of popular and tested plugins
- Convert a database provided by the customer into a WordPress-compatible format
- Transfer content, including photographs, documents, audio and video, into a WordPress site
- Two hours of WordPress training

Hosting
CoPress’ Managed Hosting plan has clients hosted on WebFaction’s excellent hosting plans. We work with WebFaction so that we can focus our attention on supporting your efforts to innovate on the web.
Clients can choose to pay hosting through CoPress (combining your bills for ease of payment), or directly to WebFaction.

Priority Support
Once you’ve launched your new WordPress website, you have access to our Priority Support. In a nutshell, we’ll be there to help you with your website when you need it the most, and assist you with bigger projects at a low rate.
More specifically, becoming a Priority Support client of CoPress means that you’ll get fast access to all of CoPress’ support offerings, particularly because we’ll be monitoring your site’s status and sending out warning messages in case of downtime. We’ll store your username and password for your hosting and WordPress installation so that our experts can respond immediately to serious issues. We’ll also backup your entire site every day to two different data centers to make sure that your information is always safe — even if you accidentally break your theme. In more abstract terms, our goal is provide a safety net for you to run as many experiments as you’d like.
Subscribing to our Priority Support entitles you to receive:

Education is a charge for staff training and other work related to running online newspapers and services, but not including editing any CSS, Javascript, PHP, or other code.
Coding & Design work is for any projects that requires coding or design work of any sort. As part of the Managed Hosting transition package, we will work with you on setting up your chosen theme to best reflect your needs. Later projects will be billed at this rate and we will work at the cost for projects ahead of time. Note: Occasionally complex, emergency repairs might fall in this category.
The Site Design Package is our estimated cost for major site design changes, based on prior experience. If you want a major design overhaul, let us know and we will work with you to figure out the details.
