Drupal
Drupal The most widely used open-source Content Management System out there. Sites like the White House run off it. People use it to create community portals, corporate web sites, social networking sites and more.
Unlike Wordpress, Drupal requires much more customization out of the box to be usable for a site. Wordpress is devoted to the single role of blogging, and can be adapted for other roles. Drupal on the other hand, is designed to be flexible and usable for many different types of site.
The core of most Drupal sites is the Content Construction Kit (CCK) module. CCK is an incredibly powerful module that lets you define custom content types for your site. For each custom content type you can define what fields and values it contains. That means you can include new types of content without needing to manually work with the underlying database structure.
